Aligned Leaders

Leadership Development for Executive Teams

Most leadership development focuses on individuals:
- Executives attend trainings
- Work 1<>1 with coaches
- Refine their skills in isolation

That has its place.

But real leadership doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It happens in teams:
- within the complexities of an organization
- in the midst of competing priorities
- under real-world constraints

Your leadership team needs development that reflects this reality.

We help executive teams grow together—strengthening trust, sharpening decision-making, and aligning around a shared vision.

Because when your leaders develop as a team, your entire organization moves forward.

The real costs
of misalignment

Misaligned leadership teams create chaos—confusion, conflict, and missed opportunities.

When leaders aren’t in sync, the entire organization suffers.

How do you know if your organization isn’t in alignment?

➤ Leaders and departments operate in silos, pushing competing priorities that derail momentum.

➤ Employees are stuck in a tug-of-war between leaders, unsure of whose direction to follow.

➤ Meetings turn into battlegrounds—full of tension, defensiveness, and unresolved conflicts.

➤ Big commitments are made in the moment, only to fade into the background once the meeting ends.

➤ Good intentions don’t translate into action—tasks get promised, then forgotten.

➤ Employees watch leadership with skepticism, waiting for the next mixed signal or broken promise.

When leadership teams aren’t aligned, the entire organization pays the price.

❌ Declining engagement

❌ Wasted resources

❌ High turnover

❌ Missed goals

What does Aligned Leaders actually look like?

A 12-Week Executive Team Calibration

Aligned Leaders is a structured, 12-week experience designed for executive teams who want to move from friction and fragmentation to clarity and coordinated execution.

This is not a retreat, or a personality workshop, or a leadership book club.

It is disciplined work on how your executive team operates.

The Aligned Process

12 Weeks | 7 Executive Team Sessions | Between Session Assignments | 2x1<>1 Coaching Sessions per Leader

Over 12 weeks:

  • Your executive team meets together 7 times in facilitated sessions.

  • Between sessions, leaders complete focused application work about their own personal alignment.

  • Each executive receives 2 1<>1 coaching sessions to address what is surfacing personally and relationally.

The structure is intentional:

  • The group sessions strengthen the system.

  • The individual sessions unlock the leaders inside it.

What We Work On

Aligned Leaders is built around the Five Hallmarks of high-functioning executive teams:

1. Vision and Mission Clarity

Shared understanding of why you exist, where you’re going, and what truly matters right now. Clear strategic priorities and fewer competing agendas.

2. Defined Accountability

Explicit ownership. Clear decision rights. Reduced duplication. No more silent overfunctioning or stalled decisions.

3. Trust and Psychological Safety

The ability to disagree without fracture. Surface tension without avoidance. Hold one another to a high bar without eroding respect.

4. Healthy Work Experience

A sustainable pace. Productive pressure without chronic exhaustion. Leadership that models steadiness instead of urgency addiction.

5. Structure to Sustain Growth

Operating rhythms, leadership cadence, feedback loops, and governance structures that hold up under scale, change, and complexity.

When Organizations Use Aligned

Aligned can be used as:

  • A general executive recalibration - a strategic tune-up

  • A leadership realignment after growth or reorganization

  • A structured container during succession planning

  • Support during post-merger integration

  • A stabilizing force during AI or technology transformation

  • A pathway through executive conflict

  • A way to integrate new executive team members

  • A reset point before board or investor inflection moments

Some organizations complete Aligned once during a pivotal transition.

Others choose to run it annually to stay coordinated as leadership shifts, strategy evolves, and complexity increases.

Because misalignment compounds - but so does coherence.

When It Runs

MatchPace runs Aligned Leaders during 3 windows each year:

  • January – March

  • April – June

  • September – November

Your entire executive team moves through the 12 weeks together. The work is confidential and tailored to your context, strategy, and dynamics.

Each window is intentionally limited to 2–3 executive teams to preserve depth, customization, and executive-level focus.

Occasionally, there are public cohorts where leaders from different organizations participate together. These can be powerful for perspective and cross-industry learning. However, Aligned is most transformative when the full executive team goes through it together, working directly on their shared system in real time.

What Changes by Week 12

By the end of the experience, executive teams typically report:

  • Clearer strategic priorities

  • Faster, cleaner decision-making

  • Reduced friction and rework

  • Healthier conflict

  • Stronger cross-functional trust

  • A sustainable leadership cadence they can maintain

Aligned does not promise perfection.

It builds coherence.

And coherence changes how everything else works.

What does an Aligned team look like?

Imagine a leadership team where:

➤ There are no more guessing games—every leader understands their shared priorities, making decisions with confidence and agility.

➤ Accountability is no longer a top-down directive—it’s a collective commitment.

➤ Meetings shift from firefighting sessions to focused strategy conversations.

➤ Alignment at the top creates a ripple effect, driving engagement, performance, and a culture of shared success.
